Hanging in the air
Some would think it’s not fair
But every voice drowned
Amidst shrills of excitement
Though nobody frowned
Wishing they could enjoy
Every minute they get.
A new adventure was unfurling
With every step they were taking
Without a care in the world
They forgot what they were told
Followed the footsteps of Satan
Disguised as barrels of fun.
She had mirrored somewhat similar emotions
It felt unlike her, but she had no option
As if the night had cast a strong spell
Of excitement, curiosity and thrill
She had become one of them
In that which she once condemned
No, she wasn’t forced; it was out of her freewill
Somehow she forgot the duty she had to fulfill.
The guilt of the night
Still lingers somewhere in her heart
But she knows she’ll stay strong from now on
No matter what they say she won’t play along.
This dunya is like an amusement park,
Wander off and you’ll get lost in the dark
So stick with the right group of friends
Who’ll hold your hand on the road to Heaven.
Allah ‘Azza wa Jal Says in the Qur’an
“Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children – like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.”

I’d like to nominate Saneh for the challenge.
