Stop Sinning!

Let us realize,
And open our eyes,
See it like it really is.
Sin is just a game of deceit.

It’s evil
A trap of the devil.
You see, he wants to trick you
Mislead and deceive you!

That’s his job
To inflict pain that’ll throb

Satan’s path leads to Hell
But Paradise is where we wanna dwell.
Don’t let him get you influenced
Its apparent ruin.

Satan’s winning,
Unless you stop sinning.

Get back your consciousness,
Your God-gifted awesomeness
Our fitra is pure,
All you gotta do is
Act and it’ll work for sure.

Life’s a test
Hang in there, don’t get stressed.
We’ve got the Prophet’s example,
And in the lives of the Sahabah,
Motivation, ample.

Satan will stop winning,
When you stop sinning.

Be a stranger in this world,
A stranger to its glitter and lure,
Which will last only for days,
Or maybe a few more.
This, you should remember,
That life isn’t forever.

Just like rain that falls,
The water causing a thousand births
Of seeds, flowers and buds,
And even floods.

But a time comes,
When every life that
Once blossomed…simply withers.

So if you want Satan to stop winning,
Trust me; just stop sinning!

In the cause of Islam, strive
The ummah can’t lose you,
You need to survive.

Let’s join hands;
‘Cause we definitely can
Help each other grow in faith.
Knock off all hate.

We need to love, respect and care
Support, advise and learn to share.
Attend jama’ah in the masjid,
Shed sincere tears in sujood.

Pray to Allah to guide you,
Asking guidance for the ummah too.
Protection from corruption,
Seeking His refuge from Satan’s deception.

It’s when you realize the reality,
Of this life and its end’s finality,
You’ll see how deceptive it can really be.
Sometimes by letting you live in fantasy,
Distract you in prayer,
Or make you commit a sin even graver.

Perhaps such is life,
Of struggle and strife.

But one thing’s for sure
Satan’s resolve isn’t something obscure
He’ll strive to mislead mankind,
Now don’t complain of being in a bind,
‘Cause to stop Satan from winning,
You need to make an effort to stop sinning.

  1. I told myself I shouldn’t comment on every poem, BUT this poem compelled me, seriously it forced my hand. I feel like if I write the parts that I like about this poem, I will just re-write the whole poem, but heck I’ll try…
Here are the parts I REALLY Liked
“See it like it really is.
Sin is just a game of deceit.”

“You see, he wants to trick you
    Mislead and deceive you!”
The rhyme there got me…I’m sorry. 🙂

    “Get back your consciousness,
    Your God-gifted awesomeness
    Our fitra is pure,”

    Ok I should stop here…
I used to want to write poems like these, I tried, I couldn’t even fake it, I realized a cold truth then, I can’t write a poem to save my life, I still love them though.

If you don’t see anymore comments, below its cause I taped my fingers to the table in order not to. (I’ll scroll down using my chin)
    Jazak Allah Khair

    1. Hahahaha “scroll down using my chin” – this is seriously THE best. I can’t stop laughing!! This is so funny. It really made my day. 😀

Actually, I’d love to read your poems in case you decide to post them someday insha’Allah. And I’m sure you can do better at writing poems than you think, bi ithnillah. Just don’t quit trying. 🙂 And thank you again for the compliments. Jazak Allah khair.
